He is still very active performing in clubs, restaurants, house parties, and doing seminars and concerts for accordion clubs in the New England and Florida area.
He has performed at the Ringling Museum and at various other restaurants and house parties while in Florida. Spending the winter months in Sarasota, Florida, Joe performs weekly at various restaurants in the Sarasota, Venice area as well as the Theatre in the Sarasota Opera House and the Asolo Rep. Tony Dannon and Joe also recorded a Jazz CD entitled "Jam Session" in the 1990's. Joe released a recording titled 'Dedication' in the early 1990's with his trio and quartet. Joe has appeared in many many jazz concerts with the renowned Tony Dannon.
He has also performed on numerous television programs and radio performances over the years.

He appeared in the movie "True Lies" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger both as a member of the 17 piece orchestra and as an accordion soloist. The studio was very active in both the AAA and ATAM competitions, and Joe still teaches a few students in his home.
Joe owned his own music studio "Cerrito School of Music" from 1960 until 1997. Throughout his career, he backed up greats such as Sarah Vaughn, Steve Allen, Harry Belafonte, Bob Wilbur and most recently Dick Hyman. Joe was a member of the 1st Army Jazz Band directed by Claude Thornhill and also played in the 56th Army Band while in Korea. He began playing small jobs at age 14 and has played professionally ever since.
